There were scenes of 'chaos' at an 'extremely busy' Piccadilly Station on Monday night (June 12) as thousands descended on the city centre for the Manchester City celebrations.
Trains were delayed as passengers told of 'chaotic' scenes at the busy station, with tram services also left completely packed out.
And bad weather conditions reportedly caused delays across the rail network. Flooding and thunder hit parts of the region on Monday evening, with heavy rain causing roads to become waterlogged.

People across the city reported trees also falling down in the thunderstorm, with thousands of Man City fans also left drenched amid huge celebrations at the parade in the city centre.
The news comes a day after a platform at Manchester Piccadilly was left partially flooded after another thunderstorm hit on Sunday evening (June 11).
On Monday evening, Manchester Piccadilly tweeted; "Manchester Piccadilly station is extremely busy. Bad weather is causing delays across the network.
"Please leave plenty of time for your journey. Buses and trams are running for local journeys."
One passenger told the M.E.N: "Piccadilly is absolute chaos right now. I am currently crammed onto the busiest train waiting for it to pull off. It is already delayed by 25 minutes and we are rammed in."
Trams across the city were also very busy on Monday night, with Transport for Greater Manchester tweeting: "Due to the volume of people in the city centre for the Man City Parade, Metrolink stops and services are very busy.
"Piccadilly rail station is also extremely busy and bad weather is causing delays across the network. Please leave plenty of time for your journey."
