Chantelle Cameron teases Katie Taylor rematch - but fans urge her to not fight in Ireland again

Chantelle Cameron has teased a massive rematch with Katie Taylor - but her fans do not want the fight to take place in Ireland.

Eddie Hearn, the promoter of both fighters, has speculated that the pair could face off again in Dublin this November after Cameron stunned Taylor by winning via majority decision.

The Northampton native took to social media this week to ask the following question: "Who wants to see the rematch and what location?"

And while the rematch is expected to be staged in Dublin, Cameron's fans urged her to try and secure it on home soil.

One wrote: "It should be in your backyard for her belts this time."

Another commented: "Northampton or Mk. For her belts this time. Fair is fair. You don't have anything to prove she does. You took that risk and proved your better."

Someone else said: "Bring her to the UK...bring her to your own home ground get her to put her belts on the line this time."

Among the venues fans suggested were Sixfields Stadium, the home of Northampton Town FC, and Franklin's Gardens, where Northampton Saints play.

Speaking recently about the possibility of a rematch between the pair, Hearn said: "Katie is going to exercise that rematch clause against Chantelle Cameron. .

“We'll plan that fight for November time. It's gonna be a huge fight. There was no talking Katie Taylor into any other fight. All she wanted was a chance to rematch Chantelle Cameron."
