Migrants have made the dangerous journey across the Channel everyday so far in March - (PA)

More than 4,000 people have crossed the English Channel in small boats so far this year, according to latest figures.

Home Office data shows that some 237 migrants made the perilous journey in four boats on Sunday, taking the provisional total this year to 4,131.
