The Catch is the brand new drama from Channel 5. Based on T.M. Logan's novel of the same name, the psychological thriller follows Ed Collier, played by Jason Watkins, who will do whatever it takes to keep his family together.
Joining Jason is a star-studded cast list including Welsh actor Aneurin Barnard, who plays Ryan Wilson, and Poppy Gilbert, who viewers will recognise from Chloe. The series is set against the hauntingly beautiful coastline of the south-west of England, but the show wasn't filmed there.
A synopsis for the drama reads: "Ed Collier is a proud husband, father and local fisherman determined to do whatever it takes to keep his family together. When rich, handsome younger man, Ryan enters daughter, Abbie’s life and threatens to take her away from him, Ed finds his life spiraling out of control and determines to discover the truth about Ryan before it’s too late.
