Channel 5 presenter Storm Huntley posted a video of a trending 'filter' online as she urged people to not compare themselves to what they see on social media as it's all 'fake'.
The Scots Jeremy Vine star took to Twitter where she shared a video seemingly done up in a full face of make-up before revealing to fans it was the latest crazed filter to be doing the rounds for people's 'selfies'.
She said: "So here is the filter everyone is using, bold glamour, and as you can see it looks nothing like me.
"So when you see something online that looks too good to be true then it probably is."
"Because this.....," she continued as she circled her face on camera "is not my face."
There is a growing trend across social media of online users using 'filters' when taking images or videos of themselves and posting them to their followers - many of which feature settings that drastically alter your appearance and face shape.
From skin texture, airbrushed finish and even your entire facial features they can completely transform how people look and the growing trend is becoming concerning for many as fears emerge of them causing body-confidence issues when people feel they need to live up to the 'fake' standards Storm addresses in her video.
The first-time parent, who gave birth to Otis Abi Okan in July last year, was flooded with support for her honesty on her Twitter page from her loyal fleet of 78.8k followers.
"Thank you for your honesty and authenticity, the way to gooooooo," said one supporting fan as they shared a heart.
Another wrote: "The real you is way better. In most circumstances real will beat artificial-IMO"
A third quipped: "Very stunning and very beautiful Storm!"
"Storm, you certainly don't need a filter. You are a natural beauty. Lucky lady," added another fan.
Just last month, Glasgow-born Storm hit out at a cruel social media troll who had a dig at her weight, accusing her of being "pregnant again."
Storm had proudly uploaded the snap of her looking stunning in the television studios, wearing a bright yellow dress, to her 789,000 followers and fans.
But just a few hours later, the furious new mum shared the update and said: "Since when did this become acceptable?
"I am not pregnant but it is fabulous to know I look it."
