Viewers have reacted with horror, anger and heartbreak after watching Channel 4's Undercover Ambulance: NHS Chaos -Dispatches. And some have turned that outrage on the UK Government and the Conservative Party - who they say shoud "hang their heads in shame" and "resign".
Part of Channel 4's award-winning investigative current affairs programme Dispatches, Thursday night's episode went undercover with Emergency Medical technician Daniel Waterhouse from the East of England Ambulance Service. Featuring secret footage filmed over the winter, it painted a grim picture of ambulance workers battling the odds and overwhelmed A&E departments.
Daniel Waterhouse said: "I think the patients deserve more than having their chances of their health resting on a knife edge of whether the hospital is overwhelmed or not." And viewers have been quick to share their views on social media - with some even saying the Government should resign.
On Twitter @whoareyou_64 wrote: "Whilst Rishi Sunak and the whole of the conservative government sit in their ivory tower with private health membership, they should be forced to watch this programme. It's not unique it's happening NOW in every UK hospital-shame on you all."

Chris Adams fumed: Have you been watching #undercoverambulance #dispatches on Ch4 tonight, please take the time to watch it on catch-up. It’s shocking the state of the ambulance service & NHS and think if it was you needing them. It’s not the staffs fault it’s this government! Please share!"

John Hamer wrote:#undercoverambulance #NHSinCrisis on Channel 4. A hard watch but this crisis has been over 12 years in the making. Various Tory regimes have created a failing NHS. If the Tories are upset with Gary Lineker, they must be apoplectic, with this programme."
Anna Korving tweeted: " Anyone watching #undercoverambulance #dispatches cannot fail to be both moved by the dedication of the healthcare professionals on the front line and bloody furious at the way our #nhs has been destroyed by the government #ToriesDestroyingOurNHS #ToriesOut #SaveOurNHS."
Karen Aspinall recounted her own experience. She she tweeted: "Watching #UndercoverAmbulance @Channel4 & weeping. My 87yr old dad was on the floor with broken hip, waiting hours for ambulance, then on trolley in A&E for 8 hours - his prognosis is very poor, but the ambulance crew were absolutely fab throughout, so thank you! #NHSThinkCarer."
