Viewers have taken to social media to share their relief after tonight's episode of 24 Hours in A&E. Released at 9pm on Tuesday, February 7, the sixth of eight episodes to be filmed at Queen's Medical Centre featured a 21 year old rushed to the hospital after a motorcycle accident, a 69 year old admitted after breathing difficulties and a woman recieving treatment after injuring her wrist.
The episode started when Connor crashed his motorbike into a telegraph pole. Viewers heard from his brother Shane how the accident unfolded in "a split second" when the bike crashed at 50mph.
Throughout the programme viewers saw how Connor received treatment for his injuries from a skilled multidisciplinary team, whilst Shane explained a bit more about their history. He explained that they found out in their early teen years that they were adopted, and this led to a difficult period of time for them both.

One fan wrote: "His helmet has come off? That doesn’t sound good. His poor brother having to witness the accident too." Another added: "Ah! The Connor & brother story…aww."
His brother shared how after their difficult time, he travelled to Derby with his adoptive parents to find him. They found him on a doorstep in Derby town centre after not seeing him for a couple of years.
Shane explained that Connor turned his life around, and that they had once again become a happy family. However by the end of the episode viewers were relieved to see that Connor's lung had inflated properly thanks to the help of staff and he was on the road to recovery.
It was announced Connor had regained full function in his broken leg after spending four weeks in hospital and was back at home with his family and planning to get a flat with Shane. Connor said: "I feel very lucky to have my mum and dad and Shane."

One fan of the show wrote: "Fair play to Connor and his brother for changing their lives around." This season of 8 episodes if the first time the programme series has been set outside of London.
The previous episode, which aired on Tuesday, January 31, focused on a suspected wave of needle spiking attacks in Nottingham. Viewers saw three female university students seek treatment at the hospital, who were suspected victims of spiking.
The episode was filmed in October 2021 when a surge of spiking incidents were happening across the UK, including 146 reports in Nottingham over two months.
