Channel 4 'not working with' with Escape to the Chateau's Dick Strawbridge and wife Angel after review

Channel 4 has reportedly severed ties with Escape to the Chateau stars after a review. TV channel has confirmed they will not be working with Dick Strawbridge and wife Angel Adoree who star in the hit show.

According to reports, this comes after a clash with show bosses and Dick and Angel, who share two kids, did not see eye to eye with management.

The couple star in Escape to the Chateau and Escape to the Chateau spin-offs Escape to the Chateau DIY and Escape to the Chateau Make Do And Mend, with their kids Dorothy and Arthur, reports Birmingham Live.

The decision to cut ties came after an internal review of the situation, according to Deadline. The publication spoke to insiders and sources from the hit show.

The relationship between the production company Two Rivers has deteriorated, according to reports. A spokeswoman for Channel 4 said: “Following a review, we have taken the decision not to work with Dick and Angel on any new productions in the future.”

Meanwhile, production company Two Rivers Media backed the news, saying: “We can confirm that we will no longer work with Dick and Angel and cannot comment further at the moment.” Escape to the Chateau aired its final season in December.

During that time, the two said they were focusing on their children going forward. The broadcaster's Senior Commissioning Editor confirmed the news.

"Across nine series we have seen the chateau rise from its ruins into the beautiful home and venue it is today," said Clemency Green at the time. She continued: "We look forward to working with Two Rivers and Chateau TV to follow Dick and Angel as they turn their attentions to new projects and new adventures."
