It may only be August, but Channel 4 are currently searching for talented crafters, makers and all-round creatives from the North East to compete in this year's festive competition.
Presented by Kirstie Allsopp, Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas is back with a bang, and producers at Raise the Roof Productions, who make the show, are looking for artisan designers and craft lovers to participate in this year's series.
In an advertisement posted to social media, Kirstie, who was kitted for the cold in a woolly hat, scarf and coat, said: "Hello clever, crafty, creatives. You know what we need?

"It's nearly competition time, so the cake makers, the gingerbread designers, the clever toy crafters and the decoration makers - the tree decorators, the paper cutters and all the rest. We need you to enter our competitions.
"We want to show the best crafts out there, and we want to highlight the clever work that you do. So get in touch."
Kirstie's Handmade Christmas will showcase designs from those across Great Britain in a number of festive-related areas, from tree decorating to wreathmaking, Christmas paper craft to the best knitted woolly jumper. Here is a complete list of the competitions this year:

A Channel 4 spokesperson said: "Kirstie provides a flurry of jovial festive fun - with enough competitions, makes, decorations, gifts, food and drink to inspire every kind of crafter."
