Location, Location, Location viewers slammed a prospective buyer for demanding a four-bedroom home in a sought-after area in Leeds for just £245,000.
Max, who decided to relocate from Birmingham after meeting his partner Dan, told Channel 4 presenter Kirstie Allsopp he wants to live in either Horsforth or Headingley and said his home needs to have high ceilings due to him being 6ft6. He also wants to rent out the basement to help him finance his mortgage.
Kirstie, who had to manage expectations, told the young professional that he might have to compromise on some of his demands. Viewers were quick to criticise and said Max had "his head in the clouds".
Dr T said: "£240-£260k 4 bedrooms, Headingley? Is this a repeat from like 1990?"
kul nijjar wrote: "£245k looking for a 4 bedroom in Leeds. Seriously?!?! I’m looking forward to seeing Kirsty and Phil treading the streets of Beeston."
David Goldstone said: "Having lived in Leeds all my life if that guy gets a place for 245K in a decent area I’d be amazed."
While another viewer joked: "I'd like 5 bedrooms, a car port, an indoor swimming pool, guest annexe, cinema room and for it to come with a live in maid, right next to a pub" Ok, what's your budget? £312.49."
And one added: "Max's head is literally in the clouds."
In the end Max decided to pursue his search on his own and a couple of weeks later he was called about a property he had been bidding on before coming onto the show. He still had to compromise on the location but ended up with a four-storey house with five bedrooms and a basement in Sholebroke Mount on the edge of Chapeltown for within his £245k budget.
