Channel 4 Gogglebox viewers distracted by Gordon Ramsay's home detail as he cries on show

Gogglebox viewers were greeted with a change as they tuned into the latest episode. The hit Channel 4 show was back on air on Friday night (October 28), and as well as the usual fan favourites including Sophie and Pete, Mica and Marcus, and Jenny and Lee making an appearance, there were some other famous faces on their own sofas.

Spice Girl Mel B and comedian Ruby Wax teamed up for the Celebrity version of the show, dedicated to raising money for Cancer Research UK and Channel 4 initiative Stand Up To Cancer, as well as chef Gordon Ramsay and his daughter Tilly, singer Charlotte Church and actor Luke Evans, and Olympic diver Tom Daly and his husband Dustin Lance Black.

They tuned in to a variety of shows including Netflix's creepy new series The Watcher and its reality show Love Is Blind, BBC One's I Can See Your Voice, and BBC Two's Only Connect. But there were also heavily emotional moments included as the celebrities and viewers were told Dylan James' and Emily's cancer stories.

Many of the show's cast and famous guests were in tears as they heard how three-year-old Dylan James and 22-year-old Emily both lost their lives to cancer, with their mum's sharing their brave stories. As they listened to Emily's mum, an emotional Gordon recalled taking Strictly 2021 star Tilly down for surgery to remove a tumour when she was 12-years-old.

"When we found out you had a tumour when you were 12 and that was that horrible period, is it cancer or is it non-malignant so going into theatre with you... " the chef and TV star said. "Do you remember?" he then asked. Tilly nodded as her famous dad added: "And it wasn't cancer. F***ing hell," to which Tilly said she was "very lucky."

There were also more light-hearted moments between the father and daughter duo who have previously had their own show together. At one point Gordon, 55, simply asked his 20-year-old daughter: "Have you got a boyfriend? Yes or no."

Tilly became visibly embarrassed as her dad persisted by repeating her name for an answer while she appeared to sink into the sofa in their London home. She did reluctantly admit that she was in a relationship which surprisingly led to Gordon jumping up from the sofa and dancing before yelling: "Yes! She's got a boyfriend! Finally - yes!"

Meanwhile, Gogglebox viewers were left distracted as they spotted something rather unexpected in Gordon's plush home. @dominic4346 tweeted: "Blimey - Gordon’s cook books are Gino’s Italy and Jamie Oliver #Gogglebox." @KWells1979 said: "Anyone else notice the Jamie Oliver cookbook on the shelf #gogglebox."
