Channel 4 Four in a Bed viewers baffled by room freebies given to guests on show

Four in a Bed viewers are convinced that Wednesday night's hosts Cleide and John were giving out more than was bargained for, after one guest walked out on his room in a previous Channel 4 episode.

On Tuesday night's fiery episode, B&B owner Digby checkout early due to the hygiene issues in the room, alongside a whole host of other DIY-requiring problems.

And at the Plover Cottage in Huddersfield, all of the guests were amazed by the space and quantity of freebies in their hotel rooms - but fans called bribery in this instance.

However, guests Liz and Gary felt there was a lot of waste when checking out their room.

Spotting the unopened tea and coffee packages, Liz said: "There's going to be a lot of waste here. I mean, if you have one cup of tea using the teabags, what happens to the rest of them?"

Digby was fairly impressed with his room, adding: "I don't think I'm going to find any dirt on these pair, and a whole bottle of Moet champagne? Very impressed."

Fans flocked to Twitter to discuss the goodies left in the hotel rooms, with one user writing: "Huddersfield B&B best this week I at to laugh Liz said what do they do with the other tbags, tbags last for years."

Another wrote: "£85 a night but you get £90 worth of Alcohol and Food in the room!!"

And a third joked: "Did Digby get a Bottle of Moët in his room to stop him f****** off again?? #fourinabed"

Further comments read: "£85 a night and a you get a £30 bottle of Champagne in the cottage???", and "Too much coffee. it’s a gift pack, don’t use it take it home #b******s #fourinabed"

The rest of the episode went by without much drama, but Cleide was rather disappointed by some of the comments left by the guests.

When reading a comment that said: "Coffee and tea-bags too large. Would have preferred a welcome pack", Cleide rebutted: "It was meant to be a nice gesture, and comments like that are just a bit rude."

Four in a Bed resumes on Thursday, March 24 at 5pm on Channel 4.
