Channel 4 A Place in the Sun host tells buyers 'you were about to hit me'

A presenter on A Place in the Sun joked a buyer was "about to hit him" over a suggestion he made during the latest episode.

Lee Juggurnauth was on hand to help Lynn and Barry find their new home in Spain's Costa Blanca. With a budget of £180,000, they wanted somewhere with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private pool, and plenty of space for their two cats Bob and Marley.

As ever, the property expert had lined up five properties he hoped would win his buyers over.

But an awkward joke Lee made after they viewed the first home didn't go down well with Lynn and Barry. The couple had said the first property was a contender, but wanted somewhere with a separate building so the family wouldn't "all be on top of each other" when they had visitors.

So it was time for a quick stop in a nearby village, before heading to the next home. Lee told Lynn and Barry: "Next property, property number two, is a five-minute drive away from here - or if you're feeling brave it's 45 minutes on foot".

There was an awkward silence before the couple realised Lee was joking and started to laugh. Lee said: "Your face as soon as I said '45 minutes walk'", before he added: "You were about to hit me!"

They then left for the car to head to view the property.

A Place in the Sun airs weekdays at 3pm on Channel 4 and All 4
