A buyer on A Place in the Sun was taken aback after having her offer refused on a property she had set her sights on.
The Channel 4 programme was back for its latest instalment, with property expert Laura Hamilton on hand to help Sue find her perfect home in Abruzzo on the east coast of Italy. Sue was accompanied by good friend Jane.
With a budget of £120,000, Sue wanted a three-bedroom detached home with a garden that she could retire in. Former nurse Sue also explained she had an extra £30,000 "wiggle room".

Laura had a number of properties up her sleeve to try to wow Sue, but she seemed to have a challenge on her hands. Sue quickly ruled out the first home, a villa with mountain views and a small olive grove, as it was too close to the neighbouring properties.
Home number two was slightly outside of Sue's budget, on the market for just over £126,000. While Sue seemed to like the property initially, she later told Laura she wanted "better views".
Sue then found things she liked and disliked with properties three and four, before becoming smitten with the fifth and final home. On the market for just over £142,000, the four-bedroom house had its own lawned area with olive trees, space for a swimming pool, and a small plot of land.
Having viewed all five properties and had time to think on it, Sue confirmed she would be putting an offer in. However, she said there were "structural issues" and so she only offered £120,000.
Laura conveyed this to the vendor, before she, Sue and Jane had an anxious few moments to wait for a reply. The current owner refused Sue's offer as it was some £22,000 below their asking price.
Sadly for Sue, their counter offer of £132,000 was evidently too much, and she was forced to leave empty-handed.
