Drinks giant Coca-Cola has announced changes to its products in a bid to improve recycling. The company will be introducing attached caps across its drinks range which includes Coca-Cola, Fanta, Coca-Cola Zero and Diet Coke.
It is understood the switch will be in place on all products by 2024. The move by Coca-Cola Great Britain is designed to help consumers recycle and reduce the amount of caps that sometimes discarded and littered, even though all Coca-Cola bottles, including the caps, are 100 per cent recyclable, the Manchester Evening News reports.
General manager Jon Woods said the firm hopes that the "small" change would have "a big impact". He said: “As the world’s biggest drinks company, we recognise that we have a leading role to play in pushing innovation and design to produce more high-quality recycled plastic which can be converted into new bottles.”
