Chanelle Hayes has shared a brutal way she is keeping her wedding list numbers down ahead of saying 'I do' to partner Dan Bingham.
The Big Brother star, 35, admitted she is being very picky about who she is inviting to her big day having got engaged last May.
The loved-up couple, who started sating in early 2021, have kept their relationship away from the public eye and are opting for a "simple wedding".
Chanelle revealed her low-key affair is a far cry from what she would have chosen a few years ago, admitting she may have had a huge wedding day on a private island.
Now, she has a nifty way of keeping her guest list short to ensure only her nearest and dearest attend.
"Honestly, before if you'd have asked me this 10 years ago, I would have been renting an island like a whole private island," she said on the Secure The Insecure podcast.
"I would have invited people just for the sake of having certain names there.
"Now I'm like chopping people off the list if they've not text me when I've had Covid."
She added: "I don't need to make a big song and dance about me and Dan being the centre of attention because it's a piece of paper at the end of the day and we just want to have a celebration, where we've got people there who we love, who we can enjoy our time with."
Chanelle, who is mum to 11-year-old Blakely and three-year-old Frankie, is also keeping costs low for the big day.
"I am a Yorkshire born and bred girl at heart, so for me, I would much rather save the money and put it into our home,” she added.
"Or save the money and save it for our children's futures.
"I want to have a simple wedding with our nearest and dearest where they get to see us, just get to see how much we love each other and have just a lot of special special there."
The reality TV star recently opened up about her own mental health struggles in a brave effort to urge others to talk.
Alongside the no make-up selfies – including one which showed her hair had fallen out - Chanelle wrote: “If you’re anything like me this is how your conversations go: ‘Hi how are you?’ ‘Oh, I’m fine thanks, you?’
“Sometimes I’m not fine. Sometimes I want to blurt out all my different problems and have someone just listen and not judge. But whenever I get that chance, I just say ‘fine’.
“Everyone’s problems are different, but sharing with someone can help to lighten the load."
Chanelle also opened up about having a gastric sleeve surgery in August 2020, which saw her drop from a size 18 to a size 6-8.
The telly star feels “a million time better now” after the 9st 4lb weight loss, but is planning a tummy tuck as she thinks her saggy skin is “ageing” her.
