CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh Housing Board has decided to provide 13 services, eight for residential properties and five for commercial, through online mode only from July 1.
No application through physical mode will be accepted from the day. This will help the applicants to apply online from their homes and get services on time without visiting the CHB office. The Chandigarh NIC has customized the 'Service Plus' module for some of the services and was making efforts for the remaining too.
CHB's chief executive officer Yashpal Garg said from July 1, applications for the services available online could be submitted through e-Services only. To facilitate applicants who do not have requisite facilities, like computer, scanner, internet connectivity or face any other issue in submission of online applications, a well-equipped helpdesk has been set up at CHB office in Sector 9.
