Chandigarh: ASI, constable thrash 2 teens in police station, suspended

CHANDIGARH: Two Class XII students accused an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and a constable of torturing them to wrongly admit to filing a false complaint of theft of mobile phones, leading the police to suspend the cops on Sunday.

The two 17-year-old boys alleged ASI Ashok Kumar and constable Vikas thrashed them after calling them to the Sector 19 police station on Saturday evening. Both are students of medical stream. One of them is a resident of Sector 30 and another of Raipur Khurd.
