Businesses are in line for around £800 million in savings on paperwork under plans announced by the Chancellor, who wants to cut back on “form-filling and pointless paperwork”.

The measures, designed to give businesses “breathing space”, have been unveiled ahead of John Healey’s first Budget next week.
