The Person Who Does Everything Resents Everyone
In a joint family, festival preparation does not distribute itself. It pools toward whoever says yes first, whoever is in the kitchen when the question is asked, whoever cannot say no without a scene. Chanakya observed in the Arthashastra that a state collapses not when its enemies are strong but when its internal labour goes unacknowledged and unbalanced. The joint family is a small state. The same failure mode applies.
