Manchester City have once again emerged as favourites to win their maiden Champions League trophy as Pep Guardiola's side prepare with 31 other teams to find out who they will face in the group stages. The draw, due to take place on Thursday (August 25), has the potential to bring up a number of "group of deaths" too.
City are Betway's favourite to win the competition at 5/2 while last year's finalists and six-time winners Liverpool are 11/2. Jurgen Klopp will be keen to go one step further but with the long injury list already in his squad, this may be a tall ask from the German manager.
PSG are also 11/2 with the bookies as the Ligue 1 side look to become the second French club to bring home the European trophy and the first time since Marseille beat AC Milan in Munich back in 1993. The likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have started strongly under new manager Christophe Galtier and will look to win their first European trophy.
Meanwhile, holders Real Madrid are a surprising 10/1 despite Carlo Ancelotti's side cancelling out Klopp's Reds in Paris back in June while La Liga rivals Barcelona are 14/1 to win Europe's top prize for the first time since 2015. The Spanish clubs have dominated Europe's top prize in recent years with the trophy heading to Spain six times in the last nine years.
Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea are 16/1 to make it two Champions League wins under the German boss in three years while Antonio Conte are 20/1 after Tottenham Hotspur secured a top four spot in the Premier League last season. The Italian manager is yet to win the Champions League as a coach but has won it as a player while at Juventus in 1996.
