Liverpool will face Real Madrid in the last-16 of the Champions League in a repeat of last season’s final.
Real Madrid beat Liverpool 1-0 in last season’s final in Paris and the pair will now face each other again after being drawn together in Monday’s last-16 draw.
The draw also threw up another heavyweight clash, with Paris Saint-Germain due to come up against Bayern Munich.
Chelsea and Tottenham, who both won their groups, will be pleased with their draws as they avoided facing PSG.
Chelsea will take on Borussia Dortmund in a match that will see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang return to his former club. The spotlight will also be on Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham for that tie as the England international is being tracked by Chelsea and other Premier League clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
Tottenham will take on AC Milan, who finished second in Chelsea’s group, in the last-16 as part of a tie that will see Antonio Conte return to his native Italy.
Elsewhere, Manchester City will take on German side RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt will face Napoli.
Belgian side Club Brugge, who have impressed on their run to the last-16, will face Benfica, while Inter Milan were drawn against Porto.
