Hull’s new council leader has told an influential business audience how he is keen to build pragmatic partnerships - with an “alliance of the willing”.
Making clear he wanted to hear what all touched by the authority wanted from it, Cllr Mike Ross spoke at Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce’s Expo as part of Humber Business Week.
Addressing more than 100 business leaders, the man heading up the Liberal Democrats’ first administration in the city in a deace, he said: “Being the leader of the council comes with a responsibility to make the city the best it can be, and to attract more people to come here.
