Cesc Fabregas has given his thoughts on the job Edu, and Mikel Arteta are currently doing at Arsenal.
The Gunners missed out on UEFA Champions League qualification last season, losing two of their last three Premier League matches to allow local rivals Tottenham Hotspur to finish above them in the race for the top four. However, they have continued to strengthen their young squad during the summer transfer window, spending in excess of £110 million on five first-team players.
Former Manchester City duo Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus have both arrived in north London, as well as young midfielder Fabio Vieira, Brazilian winger Marquinhos and veteran American shot-stopper Matt Turner. Now, former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Fabregas has spoken about the north London club's ongoing rebuild, heaping praise on both Edu and Arteta for the job they are doing at the Emirates Stadium.

"I think Mikel is doing a good job, and Edu is doing a fantastic job," the Spaniard told Sky Sports. "Edu is a football man, and he knows what it takes to build a football project.
"You cannot do it in one day, and sometimes the market doesn't allow you to get the right players, sometimes you are too young to compete, which happened at Arsenal during one or two years. But I think they have now matured. The younger players are not so young anymore.
"I see a different face. They signed very well and strengthened the team in areas in which they were struggling. I'm really looking forward to the season because it is really exciting."
