Certain DWP claimants to receive £650 one-off cost of living payment

UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak recently unveiled a £15 billion package of financial aid intended to help millions of families throughout the country through the worsening cost of living crisis.

It follows a previous £22 billion support package announced in February, and together will mean that vulnerable households across Scotland and the UK will receive £1,200 in support in 2022 — as well as a £400 discount on their energy bills this autumn.

Approximately six million people in the UK who claim disability benefits will also receive a one-off £150 sum by the end of September.

In order to be eligible for the money, which will be paid automatically, you must have been receiving one of these benefits on May 25.
