Brian J Malloy, the recently appointed chief executive of Carpenter Technology Corp – a steel company generating roughly £2.3 billion ($3 billion) a year – died unexpectedly on Friday, just over three weeks after taking office.
The 59-year-old executive had only been promoted to lead the major aerospace and military alloys supplier on 1 July.
