Centre increases power quota of Chandigarh by 9% till August-end

CHANDIGARH UT Electricity

CHANDIGARH: The central government has increased quota of electricity by 9% from April 15 till the end of August to help the city deal with a rise in demand that has started leading to unscheduled power cuts, taking its total share of 14% now.

The move comes after a request was made to the government following a study of power consumption.
