CentralPattana links up with KFC for “Sharing Happiness” campaign

CentralPattana links up with KFC for “Sharing Happiness” campaign Thais nationwide invited to celebrate Mother’s Day and share happiness with inmates of women’s correctional institutions

CentralPattana Plc. and KFC are inviting Thais nationwide to celebrate Mother’s Day by giving, together bringing happiness, warmth and love to mothers separated from their children, who do not have the opportunity to spend time with their family on Mother’s Day. They are doing this through a special campaign, “Sharing Happiness” on the occasion of Mother’s Day this year. 20,000 fried chicken meals from KFC are being donated to inmates of women’s correctional institutions who do not have the opportunity to be with their families. It is to give them hope and motivation that they are not alone, and are full, physically, spiritually and with merit, from being both a giver and receiver. Customers can also join in the giving with this good opportunity. Just buy a Combo Set and redeem a beverage, KFC Café by Arigato + egg tart for 59 THB through the sales channel at the store front. Every purchase contributes one meal of fried chicken for women who are inmates of correctional institutions. Special for 12 August 2022 is a free KFC reusable bag for each mother-and-child pair purchasing a Combo Set and redeeming the beverage KFC Café by Arigato + egg tart at 30 participating KFC outlets in Central shopping centers, both in Bangkok and in the provinces (40 sets/branch). The campaign will run from 5-14 August 2022.

Mr. Piyapong Chitchumnong, Head of QSR & Western Cuisine, the executive of KFC under Central Restaurants Group Co., Ltd. commented that Mother’s Day was a time for everybody to be with their mothers and families to eat together and enjoy each other’s company with interesting activities. However, there are two groups of people who do not have the opportunity to spend this time with their families, and these are KFC staff serving customers in the store, while another group is female inmates of women’s correctional institutions. These do not have the opportunity to be with their families at this special time. KFC thus wants to be part of giving happiness and warmth to mothers and their children who have to be separated. For KFC staff, the company has given a special meal to the families of staff who have to work on Mother’s Day, with staff families invited to eat the meals together in KFC restaurants.

For the women inmates, KFC has teamed up with partners to host the special campaign, “Sharing Happiness.” People can communicate love for their mothers with the sweet taste of KFC Café by Arigato and 1 egg tart, redeemed when purchasing any Combo Set at 167 participating KFC outlets nationwide displaying the CRG logo in shopping centres anchored by a Central, a Robinson or a Big C store. When the customers are happy, KFC will share this happiness with inmates who do not have the opportunity to be with their families, by taking one part of revenue from selling a participating set to support one meal of fried chicken. 20,000 meals are being donated to give motivation to female inmates at four women’s correctional institutions in Bangkok, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Ratchasima and Chiang Mai.

Mrs. Phattaraporn Phenpraphat, Head of Commercialization at CentralPattana Plc., said that CentralPattana was delighted to be part of the campaign, “Sharing Happiness” together with KFC, bringing happiness to everyone in society, as well as celebrating Mother’s Day this year. The company sincerely hopes that this campaign will share some smiles and bring some hope to many mother-and-child pairs who do not have the opportunity to celebrate this moment of happiness with their families over the holiday. Everyone is invited to join in this worthwhile campaign in KFC outlets at 30 participating Central shopping centres nationwide. CentralPattana is dedicated to upgrading quality of life for all people in every dimension. This creates good things in society, highlighting our corporate vision, “Imagining better futures for all,” said Phattaraporn.
