Scotland's census deadline is expected to be extended by the Scottish Government after a low response rate.

Angus Robertson, Constitution Secretary who is in charge of the census, will give a statement in the Scottish Parliament later today about the population survey.

It has been reported in the Telegraph that he will extend the deadline by four weeks to allow more people to complete the forms.
