The Boston Celtics have truly hit their stride as a team in recent weeks, but driving the team’s second-half turnaround as much as anything has been the All-NBA play of All-Star forward Jayson Tatum.
Helping hold down the Celtics’ league-leading defense on one end and wreaking havoc on the offensive end, the St. Louis native has been instrumental in several of Boston’s recent statement wins. Most recently, Tatum put up 54 points against the mighty Brooklyn Nets, then followed that feat up with a 44-point outing against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night.
Celtics head coach Ime Udoka reflected on the luxury of having a player like the Duke product on his roster when the team is playing so well already after the game. “It’s great,” he suggested, perhaps stating the obvious.
