Kevin Rutkiewicz admits he’s not sure what calibre of Celtic side his EK team face in a friendly on Saturday – but it will be a huge test regardless.
The K-Park boss takes Kilby to the Hoops’ training base at Lennoxtown this weekend for a behind closed doors clash against a Celtic XI and wonders if the Scottish Premiership champions may throw in a few fringe first team players
Ahead of the match, Rutkiewicz said his squad will be up against a very talented side whoever they select.
“I’m not sure what kind of team we will face but I imagine it will mostly be made up of the B team,” he said. “But there are some Celtic first-team players who are in a bit of limbo at the moment.
“I’m not going to surmise who they might be but you’ve got [Ismalia] Soro who is not quite in the picture.
“Is there a chance for Celtic to give them a run out? I don’t know, that will be entirely down to Celtic.
“When you roll up against an Old Firm team you know what you are going to get: they will be fit, super organised, full of high quality.”
Kilby geared up for the clash with a 6-0 win over Forth and Rutkiewicz added: “It will be a good test for us and a very good step up from last weekend, with no disrespect to Forth.
“We won’t have anywhere near as much possession so there will be different problems and different questions asked.
"But it will be a good experience and I hope the boys rise to it and show themselves in a good light.”
