Celtic have been warned transfer target Yang Hyun-jun won't be allowed to complete a transfer switch to Parkhead this summer.
It's reported Celtic are interested in the Gangwon winger Yang with Brendan Rodgers set to continue a recruitment strategy in Asia after Ange Postecoglou's influence.
However, director for the K-League side Kim Tae-joo has revealed Yang is not for sale this summer - but admitted it's not down to transfer demands.
Instead, the club chief claims Yang is too important to be allowed to leave as he vowed to put the current team situation first.
In the Daily Record, the club director is quoted stating: “It is true Celtic has received a scouting offer for Yang Hyun-jun.
"No, we will not transfer Yang this summer. The transfer fee is not a big problem.
"However, the priority is to consider the current team situation.
“We also conveyed the position we wouldn’t release Yang to Celtic for six months and then send him in the winter but Celtic is sticking to the position of wanting to recruit Yang during this summer.”
And the report also claimed Celtic have interest in a further K-League duo this summer.
The outlet claims Gwanju duo Eom Jio-sung and Jeong Ho-yeon are being scouted by Celtic.
It comes as Celtic are expected to continue their scouting and transfer business in the Asian market.
Meanwhile, Odin Thiago Holm last night became Brendan Rodgers' first signing of his second stint at Celtic.
The Norwegian midfielder has agreed a five-year deal at Celtic.
On Holm's arrival, Rodgers commented: "I have spent time already with Odin, he is an ambitious, exciting young player and I know he is delighted to be joining us.'
“He is a great addition to the quality squad we already have and we really look forward to working with him.”
