Celtic unveil new adidas away kit and reveal release date for 90s inspired design

Celtic have unveiled their 90s inspired away kit for the upcoming season.

The design, produced by adidas, puts a modern spin on a classic design from 30 years ago and was officially launched on Friday.

Fans had been excited by alleged leaked images of the shirt which had circulated online in recent weeks and the Scottish Premiership champions have now served up the real thing.

The kit features a black base under vertical green stripes trimmed with white edges.

It's a near identical homage to the Celtic 's 1992/93 Umbro away jersey, right down to the shield underneath the club badge.

But there's a subtle addition in the shape of a single star above the crest, signifying the club's 1967 European Cup triumph.

And, of course, the iconic adidas three stripes run down the shoulders in green to cap it all off.

The kit will be available for fans to buy on Thursday, June 23 and there's also the added option to remove the dafabet sponsor for an even more retro feel.
