Celtic winger Mikey Johnston has had interest from Belgian First Division club Standard Liege confirmed by former Hoops boss Ronny Deila.
The Norwegian was reported as a potential suitor for the 23-year-old who has been told that he is free to seek a loan in search of regular minutes. It has been a frustrating two seasons for Johnston who has had injury plague any chances of solidifying himself as a regular at Parkhead.
There are options for him in the UK but the ex-green and white boss says he is one Standard Liege are looking at as they look for a strong first season under his guidance. Deila told the Daily Record of potential recruits Johnston and former Salernitana defender Stefan Stranberg: “I know both of them, but we do not know how it’s going to go.
