Stephen Robinson has provided an update on Dylan Reid's future as he admitted 'decisions need to be made' as he launched a St Mirren development pitch.
Celtic are believed to have a bid in the region of £125,000 accepted for the highly-rated teenager, who has captained Scotland at youth level. He had a stint on loan at newly promoted Scottish Championship side Queen's Park last season.
Buddies boss Robinson is in no doubt the youngster can develop in Paisley hailing the club as 'very good' for that career opportunity. Ange Postecoglou is continuing to put his stamp on Celtic after a stunning debut campaign which resulted in recapturing the Premiership title from Rangers and lifting the Premier Sports Cup. Reward for their league triumph is direct entry into the Champions League group stages this season.

Reid, 17, would be one for the future with the midfielder hooking up with the B team in the Lowland League if a move goes through. Speaking previously, Postecoglou said: “I think [Dylan Reid] that’s more for our B team. Again, I’d love to be the man for everything, but I have limitations in terms of what I’m focused on at the moment."
Delivering the latest update to Sky Sports, Robinson said: “We are a club who have to develop players and we have to sell players.
“We believe Dylan is a highly rated young talent who we can develop here.
“We are a club that produces players, it is an academy system that produces players.
“There is no fewer than six young kids training with us at the moment.
“For me it is a very good club for players to develop.
“Dylan and his advisers and family have decisions to make but I don’t think he has to look too much further than here to develop.
“There has been a lot of talks, as there always is.
“You can’t control that. He is a talented boy as are a lot of our young players and talented players get recognition and attention.
“Some of it is true, some of it isn’t.”
