Celtic transfer hopeful Adam Idah hails fans as Norwich detail return of loanee

Celtic loanee forward Adam Idah has once more spoken in praise of the Celtic support, with parent club Norwich City posting about the striker's status on social media.

With eight goals to name and a handful of assists since singing on loan in January, the 23-year-old has endeared himself among the Paradise faithful – helped by a string of crucial goals, not least during last month's 3-3 draw at Ibrox against Rangers.

The Irishman got his side off the mark last week in their thrilling 5-0 rout of Kilmarnock at Rugby Park, after which Brendan Rodgers' men were crowned Scottish Premiership champions for a third consecutive season.

Speaking on the pitch after Saturday's title party 3-2 win over St Mirren at Celtic Park, the forward hailed the home support.

"It's amazing," Idah told Celtic TV. "To be honest, I don't think you'll get this anywhere else. Especially [Joe Hart] who's been at some big clubs, but to get this turnout and to get these fans behind you is an amazing feeling."

Standing alongside his teammate, Nicolas Kuhn added: "Yeah, 100 percent, this is why I came here. I could hardly hear what Adam said there. It's such a nice feeling to win the title, and now we go for the cup."

Whether or not Idah turns his loan move into a permanent one this summer remains to be seen, however parent club Norwich confirmed the status of their player in a squad update post on social media.

This of course does not mean Idah won't sign permanently for Celtic in due course – but it will likely kick the Celtic transfer news, rumours and speculation into gear around the player.
