Aaron Mooy is seemingly heading for Celtic - and his comments on former Australian national team boss Ange Postecoglou indicate a good match.
The pair worked together while Postecoglou was Socceroos manager and the former Huddersfield Town midfielder is set to link up with his countryman again in Glasgow. An aggressive attack-minded battler, Celtic have a Tom Rogic-sized hole in their midfield department and Mooy could be arriving to replace his fellow Aussie in that area.
Postecoglou confirmed after Saturday's friendly with Blackburn Rovers that he anticipated potentially signing two players this week and one of the first players suggested as a recruit when arriving at Parkhead last summer is set to sign. Mooy knows all about the former Brisbane Roar manager and comments made six years ago show how fond of the style of play he was. The fast-paced nature Celtic play at is something the ex-St Mirren man enjoyed at national team level.

He said in 2016: "He’s a very good coach. The style that he wants to play is the way I like playing as well. I’m happy to be playing under him. He’s intimidating.
“But the way he wants to play football, I want to play like that as well. I’m enjoying it.”
Mooy is currently a free agent after leaving Shanghai Port. The 31-year-old impressed at Huddersfield and Brighton prior to the Chinese Super League move and has been capped 53 times by his country.
