LASK will observe a period of silence before facing Celtic after a supporter died following last week’s Champions League tie.
A 65-year-old man became unwell during the first leg at Celtic Park on August 19 and was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary. He passed away a short time later.
LASK has contacted Celtic to advise that they wish to observe a period of silence prior to tonight’s match in tribute to our supporter who fell ill and tragically passed away following last week’s first leg at Celtic Park. We send our thanks and appreciation to LASK.

The Austrian club contacted Celtic to offer the tribute before tonight’s play-off second leg in Austria. Celtic said the supporter’s family had been informed.
A Celtic statement said: “LASK has contacted Celtic to advise the club that they wish to observe a period of silence prior to tonight’s match to pay tribute to our supporter who fell ill and tragically passed away after last week’s first leg match at Celtic Park.”

It added: “We have informed the family of this and they and everyone at Celtic Football Club is very grateful for this kind and thoughtful gesture.”
Celtic take a 3-0 advantage into the return match. Benjamin Nygren scored first in Glasgow, before Camilo Duran added two goals either side of half-time.
