Celtic team 'leak' sets social media ablaze as Real Madrid starting XI reveal also emerges

Celtic and Real Madrid's teams have reportedly been leaked ahead of their Champions League blockbuster at Celtic Park. But is all really as it seems?

Both team lines have emerged on social media including starting elevens and substitutes of a screen reportedly inside Celtic Park. It appears to show Reo Hatate dropping out for the Scottish Premiership champions from the convincing win over Rangers on Saturday if the image circulating on social media is correct. The starting line-up also has Kyogo Furuhashi starting despite an injury scare following derby day in Glasgow. However, Starfelt's place on the bench sets off alarm bells, considering he is believed to be out with a knee complaint.

Should the squad prove to be correct, and there's healthy scepticism, there will be relief for Real Madrid supporters with Karim Benzema making the group stage opener amid injury doubts. Despite social media speculation ramping up over the two squads, some users have been quick to point out that it is more than likely a simple screen test before the blockbuster Group F clash.

The reigning European Champions are in Glasgow to face Celtic as the Scottish champions return to the group stage for the first time since 2017/18 season. Brendan Rodgers was the last boss to lead the club out among Europe's elite.

'Leaked' Celtic XI: Hart; Taylor, Juranovic, Jenz, Carter-Vickers; Turnbull, O’Riley, McGregor; Kyogo, Jota, Abada.
