On-loan Celtic striker Jon Afolabi has warned that Airdrie must keep their standards high when Clyde visit New Broomfield in League One tomorrow.
The Diamonds host sixth-placed Clyde for a crucial clash while they chase leaders Cove Rangers in an attempt to pip them to the title.
Airdrie currently sit five points behind Paul Hartley's side in second, but have opened up a six-point gap on third-placed Montrose, after Afolabi's strike earned them a 1-0 win at Peterhead last weekend.
Ian Murray's side are undefeated in their last 10 league games, with the same number ahead of them, and Afolabi says they can't drop their guard.
Airdrie won 2-1 the last time Clyde were at New Broomfield, with goals from Callum Smith and Calum Gallagher.
But Afolabi told Airdrie's website: "We have to be on it, and we can't really drop off the standards that we've set.
"I think we just take it game by game and try to get as many wins as possible."
Afolabi is on loan from the Parkhead giants, having spent the first part of this season in a similar deal at Ayr United. He made his Diamonds debut in the 4-1 win over Montrose, started against Peterhead and scored a crucial goal.
He said: "I was delighted to get my first goal, and it was a great performance at a tough place to go to.
"It was just vital to get the victory.
"It was just one that dropped in the box, Rhys [McCabe] played it to me and I only had a second to choose what I was going to do.
"I opted to pass it in, instead of slashing at it from where I was, so it was a nice, composed finish.
"It was good that the gaffer showed trust in me and faith to play me so early.
"That's what I'm here for, really, to take the chances that I'm given, so it was a great start."
