Celtic star Liel Abada heaps praise on James Forrest as he picks out his two best attributes

Liel Abada was delighted to see James Forrest score a hat-trick after the Celtic star took the Israeli under his wing.

Ange Postecoglou brought the winger to the club last summer as part of his major Parkhead overhaul and he's impressed during his time in Scottish football. His name has already been linked with clubs in the English Premier League due to the impact he has made. Part of that comes down to his team-mate with Abada admitting he can continue to learn from him and he is constantly offering him advice.

Forrest's treble in the big win over Hibs also took him to the 100 goals mark for the club as he further wrote his name into the history books at the club. His movement and technique are the attributes the 21-year-old admires most as he praised him for his part in helping the younger and new players make the grade at the Scottish champions. Abada said: “Jamesy is a really good friend and he has been able to teach me so much.

“He has been at the club for a long time, has played a lot of games and scored a lot of goals. I can learn so much from him and I was so happy to see him score a hat-trick.

“I speak with him all the time and he gives me a lot of advice. Everyone in the team is good friends and are really together.

“All the older players like Jamesy are amazing in helping the younger ones as well as the new players.

“What I admire most about him is his movement and his technique.

“I’m happy to have him as a team-mate and hopefully he can keep scoring for us.

“He has a great mentality. You have to keep working at it every day and in every game. This is the most important thing.”
