Celtic star Jota in 'one of the best moments of my life' confession over Real Madrid free-kick

Celtic star Jota has admitted his Bernabeu stunner is 'one of the best moments' of his life.

The fans' favourite returned from injury in the weekend win over Livingston and made an instant impact by winning a penalty kick before rounding off the scoring in a 3-0 win. Once again he came off the bench against Real Madrid as he steps up his return to fitness and he delivered a moment he will never forget and some late cheer for the travelling Hoops support as he netted a cracking free-kick for a consolation strike in a 5-1 defeat.

It's been an excellent period in Jota's career since joining Ange Postecoglou's men and his fine form has been rewarded with a place in Portugal's provisional 55-man squad for the World Cup finals that take place in Qatar later this month. His return to action and Champions League cracker in one of most iconic arenas in football won't do his chances any harm of impressing his national team boss.

Celtic are now out of Europe and will concentrate full efforts on retaining the Premiership crown they won from Rangers last season so they can secure a return to Europe's top table next term.

Asked if it was a moment he dreamed of from a young age, Jota said: "Definitely. I think this was one of the best moments of my life.

"As a kid I always looked for this teams and this stages and to come here and score a goal, I think it's a very important moment for me and for my family.

"And they were in the stands so they could see this in local so I am very happy for this."
