Charlie Adam reckons Saturday's derby showdown at Celtic Park will be decided by two players.
The former Ibrox star reckons Kyogo Furuhashi and Antonio Colak are the men with the power to make all the difference when the Glasgow rivals collide this weekend. The Premiership's top two set are to square off for the first time this season and Adam expects a blockbuster encounter.
Ange Postecoglou's reigning champions have a flawless league record after five matches and could open up a five point gap over their rivals with victory. But Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be determined to make a statement at the home of Rangers' fierce rivals. Both Kyogo and Colak have made impressive starts to the season and it's for that reason Adam has singled them out as pivotal to the outcome at Parkhead.
He told talkSPORT: "If Rangers lose this it's five behind. The Old Firms will obviously play a big part in the season. It's at Celtic Park, it's a tough game, tough venue to go to. This group of Rangers players, everybody doubted them going to Eindhoven and they put a performance on.
"They've done it in European games, they've been to Celtic Park. This could be as good an Old Firm game as we've seen in the past few years. Both teams are pretty similar, there's not much in it. It's whoever has the strikers - is it Kyogo on fire or Colak on fire? That could decide this game for Celtic or Rangers, it's that close. Both teams have good squads, two good managers and it should be a cracker."
Meanwhile, co-pundit Trevor Sinclair has his eyes on another area of the pitch. The former Manchester City and West Ham midfielder, also a big Celtic fan, reckons Josip Juranovic up against Ryan Kent is one to watch, insisting the Croatian right-back has had his rival's "number" in recent encounters.
"I think he's good enough for the Premier League, I really do. Some of the individual stuff, a team player. He's got that wow factor in the final third.
"Kyogo's top draw as well. Giakoumakis is a lump to bring off the bench.
"One of the match-ups I'm really looking forward to is Juranovic, because I think he's had Kent's number in the past. Kent hasn't shown much against him. That's a match-up I want to see."
