Callum McGregor has put pen to paper on a new FIVE-YEAR deal.
The Hoops skipper will remain at the club until 2028 as he quickly follows hot on the heels of Daizen Maeda and Kyogo Furuhashi in penning long-term terms at the club. The skipper joined the club's youth academy as a nine-year old and has now spent over 20 years at the club and won a whopping 20 trophies to date - including five domestic Trebles.
McGregor is delighted to have extended his stay in Glasgow as he labelled Brendan Rodgers a 'top manager'. He can't wait to get working under his former boss once again as he bids to continue the Hoops' domestic dominance over Rangers. He will also be pushing to go better in Europe with the Champions League returning to Parkhead later this year. The captain told the Celtic website : “It’s amazing to extend my stay at the club. As I’ve touched on before, this club means so much to me and the success that we’ve had over the past few seasons has cemented that.
