Celtic's Champions League foes in midst of infighting

Celtic's Champions League rivals Borussia Dortmund appear to be in the midst of in-fighting at several levels of the club.

The pair meet tomorrow night in Germany on matchday two of the new-look European tournament.

Brendan Rodgers and his players will know their work will be cut out for them as they take on last season's runner-up.

But as things stand, Dortmund seem to be a long way away from the form that got them to the final in London last season under then-boss Edin Terzic.

Nuri Sahin is in charge of the team now following the change of head coach during the summer.

So far, things haven't quite gone to plan after recent ropey performances, which did see a less than convincing 4-2 win over Bochum at the weekend, but also a 5-1 loss to Stuttgart.

To make matters worse, as well as conflicts at boardroom level, Sahin and star player Marcel Sabitzer have been involved in a a public row.

The Austrian has mainly been used at right wing by the manager. However, he's made it known he prefers to operate as a No.6 in midfield.

As a result, Sahin has continued to use Sabitzer out wide, and this has led to iconic German coach, Peter Neururer, delivering a stern warning to the pair.

"Sabitzer is certainly a player who can play in several positions in midfield," he told Der Westen. "An outstanding guy, an outstanding footballer.

"However, I think it is fundamentally wrong to announce his claims in public because it brings with it a certain touch.

"The players have to perform to their potential. Players also have to be heard, that is absolutely right. But ultimately there is someone who makes the decision and that is the coach."
