Celtic's Champions League meeting with Shakhtar Donetsk will not feature a minute's silence in memory of Queen Elizabeth II.
Ange Postecoglou and his Hoops side are in Warsaw as they get set for their second game of the group section after defeat in the opening round of fixtures to Real Madrid. UEFA had announced that there was set to be a tribute in honour of the Queen. However, it has now been confirmed that a silence will not go ahead following pre-match briefing discussions.
A decision on whether both clubs involved will wear black armbands is yet to be finalised ahead of tonight's 5.45pm kick-off in Poland. The Queen sadly passed away last week aged 96 with the SPFL weekend fixture card called-off as a mark of respect. Clubs up and down the country also paid tribute and sent condolences to the Royal Family and everyone else mourning the sad loss.
