Celtic's 25-man Champions League squad listed in full

Celtic have confirmed their full Champions League squad ahead of the 2024/25 tournament.

The Scottish Premiership champions have listed the full 25-player allowance, with all of the big summer signings included for Brendan Rodgers.

The Hoops will take on Slovan Bratislava in the first of their eight Champions League league-phase ties later this month.

They're looking to reach the knockout rounds of the top UEFA club competition for the first time since 2012/13.

Celtic's other European opponents include; Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Atalanta, Club Brugge, Dinamo Zagreb, Young Boys and Aston Villa.

Arne Engels, Alex Valle and Luke McCowan are in the 25-man list, while fringe players Stephen Welsh, Maik Nawrock and forgotten academy product Adam Montgomery have all been included too.

Celtic squad registered for the 2024/25 Champions League in full:

Goalkeepers: Kasper Schmeichel, Viljami Sinisalo, Scott Bain.

Defenders: Alistair Johnston, Greg Taylor, Liam Scales, Auston Trusty, Alex Valle, Maik Nawrocki, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Anthony Ralston, Stephen Welsh.

Midfielders: Reo Hatate, Luis Palma, Nicolas Kuhn, Yang Hyun-jun, Luke McCowan, Arne Engels, Paulo Bernardo, Callum McGregor, James Forrest, Adam Montgomery.

Forwards: Kyogo Furuhashi, Adam Idah, Daizen Maeda.

Meanwhile, Gustav Isaksen was linked with a move to Celtic during the summer transfer window.

However, the Danish international insists leaving Lazio was never really on the cards for him.

The 23-year-old insists leaving the Serie A giants would've presented a 'boring' year ahead for him after learning all about the club after his move from FC Midtjylland in 2023.

Nothing came to fruition, and the winger has explained why no other club interested him this summer.

"It would be boring to have spent a whole year getting to know everything in Lazio to go somewhere new and then have to learn it all again," he told tvmidtvest. "So I told my agent that even if something exciting comes along, I would like to stay with 99 percent certainty. I feel that I have the potential to become an important man down there."
