Celtic 'reject' Liel Abada transfer enquiry from Crystal Palace but Eagles are still monitoring Old Firm goal hero

Crustal Palace have reportedly had a transfer enquiry for Liel Abada rejected.

The Celtic wide man was on target in Wednesday night's 3-0 rout of Rangers, scoring the hosts' third from close range shortly before half-time.

That strike came just a few days after his dramatic last minute winner against Dundee United at the weekend.

Ange Postecoglou’ s team were down to ten men before Abada strucky, a goal that saw them take advantage of Rangers’ 3-3 draw against Ross County, and ultimately gave them the chance to leapfrog the Gers with last night’s rout.

One Sport Israel reports that the Eagles have had a tentative enquiry knocked back for the 20-year-old, with the Selhurst Park club having been impressed by Abada since he arrived from Maccabi Petah Tivka.

Even if further interest materialises this summer, it would likely take a big bid for Celtic to even consider selling, with Abada not even a year into the five-year contract he signed in the summer.

Palace spent £15million to land want-away striker Odsonne Edouard in the summer.

But the Frenchman was due to leave when his contract expired at the end of the season.

Celtic have no such plans to cash in on Abada any time soon, with the report claiming they even told the English Premier League club they had no intention of negotiating for a player that they are still paying for, having agreed a £3.5million fee to bring to Scotland a little over six months ago.
