Celtic player ratings vs Kilmarnock as Matt O'Riley shows class in stunning Rugby Park display

Celtic blew away Kilmarnock in a stunning opening half hour at Rugby Park.

Ange Postecoglou's men found the net FOUR times in the first 27 minutes of the game and also missed from the penalty spot as they put the game out of sight in Ayrshire in emphatic style. Kyogo Furuhashi opened the scoring in superb fashion after capitalising on a slack pass before doing all the hard work on his own to make the breakthrough.

Five minutes later Daizen Maeda headed home from an Alistair Johnston cross before Matt O'Riley grabbed his first of the afternoon to put the Hoops three goals to the good before the 20-minute mark. Four minutes later Kyogo had the perfect chance to grab his 30th goal of the campaign but his penalty crashed off the post after sending keeper Sam Walker the wrong way. However, it wasn't a long wait for a fourth goal of the game with O'Riley curling home to complete a stunning opening period. Liam Donnelly grabbed a consolation for the hosts on the stroke of half-time as they steadied the ship in the second period. Here's how we rated the Hoops.

Joe Hart - 6

Quiet afternoon for the Hoops No1. Good save but helpless at follow up for goal. Excellent save late on.

Alistair Johnston - 7

Excellent overlapping run and link up with Sead Haksabanovic before cross set up Daizen Maeda goal. Brilliant transfer find. Booked.

Yuki Kobayashi - 6

Natural left-footer. In for Cameron Carter-Vickers for a rare start since arrival. Did best but was unable to deny Killie goal.

Carl Starfelt - 6

Comfortable enough afternoon for the Swede alongside Kobayashi.

Greg Taylor - 7

Up and down that left side against his former club. Always busy and continues to improve under Ange. Solid shift.

Callum McGregor - 7

Always looking to get on the ball and create angles. Out muscled in his own box with Kilmarnock scoring from the move. Subbed.

Tomoki Iwata - 7

Like Kobayashi, in for a rare start in midfield with Reo Hatate out and Aaron Mooy benched. Looked comfortable.

Matt O'Riley - 9

Finding form with a big semi-final just weeks away. Scored lovely goal to round off excellent team move before an even better second. Subbed on hour.

Daizen Maeda - 7

His pace always a real threat. Works extremely hard.. Scored second with lovely header for Hoops' 100th of season. Subbed.

Sead Haksabanovic - 6

Big chance from the start. Excellent link up for second goal. Unfortunate over lack of starts of late but was quite quiet in this one. Subbed.

Kyogo Furuhashi - 7

First chance ends in a brilliant goal after capitalising on loose pass. Hit the post with a penalty. Subbed at half-time

Oh Hyeon-gyu - 5

On at half-time with a keen eye in Jürgen Klinsmann watching on. Booked. Inches away from goal after Rocco Vata cross.

David Turnbull - 4

A chance to put himself in the mind of the boss with a big cup semi-final to come. Will hope for a run of minutes in the final games of the campaign.

Rocco Vata - 4

A good 25 minute plus run out for the youngster. Excellent experience once again. Third appearance for the top team.

Aaron Mooy - 4

A key player for Ange of late. On from the bench to replace Callum McGregor.

Ben Summers - 2

Celtic debut for the final five minutes. Huge moment for the youngster.
