Celtic player ratings v Ross County as Hatate magic unlocks stubborn Ross County in title boost

Celtic came from behind to win 2-1 in their latest Premiership match against Ross County, as they went three games clear in the title race.

A victory was targeted in one final match before the World Cup break and that need was heightened after Rangers' 1-1 draw with St Mirren in the lunchtime kick-off. Kyogo Furuhashi and Cameron Carter-Vickers both had chances as a stubborn Staggies side looked to prove frustrating and they did try to threaten themselves with the likes of George Harmon.

It was Malky Mackay's men who got in front as David Cancola converted their first penalty of the season to put real pressure on the champions. They responded with a goal by David Turnbull and a fantastic effort by Sead Haksabanovic to ensure they take a big advantage in the title race heading into a four-week hiatus. Here is how we rated the Celtic players in Glasgow's east-end.

Joe Hart - 6

Provided a scare early on by letting the ball across his line but looked in control. Not overly threatened.

Anthony Ralston- 7

Form growing with every passing appearance. Almost scored if it weren't for Ross Laidlaw and a big challenge late on.

Cameron Carter-Vickers - 7

Heading to Qatar and it's clear why. Proved a goal threat as well as an immovable rock at the back. Defeat never looks likely with the American marshalling the defence.

Moritz Jenz- 5

Didn't have a lot to do before he was subbed with an injury. Has the benefit of a month to recover.

Alexandro Bernabei - 6

Played more like a winger than a left-back. Played inside and put more focus on his attacking responsibilities. Not tested too much the other way.

Matt O'Riley - 6

Created chances and had go's at goal himself. Handed away the penalty but it was a comfortable display.

Reo Hatate - 8

Some magic weaved to beat two players and set Turnbull up for a goal and then a one-two with Haksabanovic put them ahead. Can have a quiet afternoon then light a stadium up in five minutes.

David Turnbull- 7

Another chance to prove himself after a sumptuous assist against Motherwell. Denied a goal by a top save before showed calmness to get on the scoresheet.

Daizen Maeda - 5

Plenty of effort but very little end product from the Japanese international. World Cup-bound and will hope for some confidence-boosting goals.

Kyogo Furuhashi- 5

Chance after chance was falling his way but none were taken in a frustrating first half. More came his way before being hooked for Giakoumakis.

Sead Haksabanovic- 7

Sent several balls into the away penalty area before taking matters into his own hands with a fine effort.

Carl Starfelt - 6

Brought on for Jenz and was a cool customer next to Carter-Vickers. Will be a big player with full match sharpness.

Jota - 5

Came on as the attacking row was changed but didn't make too much of an impact on proceedings before a late backheel set up Abada.

Georgios Giakoumakis - 5

Missed a header from an Abada cross and was then denied by Laidlaw, not the only Hoops player to have had that happen in this one.

Liel Abada - 5

Put a teasing low ball in with no takers and another for Giakoumakis could have been so different.

Greg Taylor - 3

Late cameo as defensive shrewdness came into play.
